Spring/Summer Kochville Softball League

Join the Kochville Softball League!

The Kochville Township Slow Pitch Softball League runs May through August. Games are played on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM and 7:15 PM at Elmer Lange Park, 5851 Mackinaw. An end-of-season tournament is held in mid- August. The $300 team fee covers ASA Umpires, softballs, and field maintenance for games and the tournament. There are no individual player fees, but all players must sign an injury waiver. Corporate sponsors are encouraged. All participants must be over 18 years of age. Teams may be male, female, or co-ed. SVSU Ryder Center Discounts for Kochville Residents

Saginaw Valley State University offers residents of Kochville Township Ryder Center memberships at discounted rates. Township residents can obtain individual, family, and senior (62 years and older) memberships for half off the normal rate.

Ryder Center facilities include an Olympic size swimming pool (available to members during open swim times); racquet ball, wallyball, basketball and volleyball courts; floor hockey and broomball inside the Cardinal Gym; an indoor track for runners and walkers; a weight training room; and more. Various equipment is also available for check-out, including raquets, sticks, balls, etc. The Ryder Center even offers hourly, daily, and weekend rentals for such items as cross-country skis and mountain bikes. An ID card is needed for check-out, with a small deposit and rental fee required for some specialty items.

Kochville residents may also receive tickets to Cardinal athletics, hospitality and gratuity items for no additional charge. One-half of the membership fees may be considered a tax-deductible contribution.

More information regarding Ryder Center usage and membership forms are available at the Kochville Township offices. Completed applications should be returned to the Kochville Township Hall.
